Dahua Technology SD42212T-HN 2MP PTZ IP Security Camera

Designed for dependable indoor or outdoor surveillance, the Dahua Technology SD42212T-HN is a motorised, vandal-resistant IP PTZ dome camera. Its 2 MP STARVIS CMOS sensor, 12× optical zoom and wide dynamic range help capture useful detail in varied lighting conditions. With IP66 weather protection, IK10 impact resistance, IVS support and flexible network viewing, it is suited to security installations that need remote monitoring and camera control.

Clear Imaging and Flexible PTZ Control

• 2 MP imaging: 1/2.8-inch STARVIS CMOS sensor with day/night switching via ICR.
• 12× optical zoom: Motorised 5.3–64 mm lens for adjusting the field of view remotely.
• Low-light performance: StarLight capability with a stated minimum illumination of 0.005 lux.
• Dynamic range: 120 dB WDR helps balance bright and dark areas in the same scene.
• PTZ presets and patterns: Supports 300 presets, 5 patterns and 8 tours, as well as auto pan and auto scan.
• Image adjustments: 3D noise reduction, automatic white balance, automatic gain control and backlight compensation.

Network, Storage and Connectivity

The camera supports H.264+, H.264 and MJPEG video encoding, with 1080p, 720p and D1 streams at 1–25/30 frames per second. Local recording is available through a microSD card with support for capacities up to 128 GB. ONVIF compatibility and support for web viewing, CMS software (DSS/PSS) and DMSS provide options for monitoring and system integration. Live viewing and camera control are supported on iOS and Android smartphones.

For connecting external equipment, the camera provides two alarm inputs and one alarm output, along with one audio input and one audio output.

Built for Demanding Environments

A metal housing, IK10 vandal resistance and IP66 ingress protection help the SD42212T-HN withstand challenging installation conditions. It is rated for operation from −40°C to 60°C and can be powered by 24 V AC or PoE+.
