ASUS RT-BE59 Wi-Fi 7 BE5000 Wireless Router
Upgrade your home network with the ASUS RT-BE59, a Wi-Fi 7 router designed for fast wireless performance, high-speed wired connections and flexible network management. With combined theoretical wireless speeds of up to 5,000 Mbps, Multi-Link Operation (MLO) and AiMesh support, it provides a capable foundation for streaming, gaming, working from home and connecting smart home devices.
Wi-Fi 7 Performance and MLO
Using Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), the RT-BE59 operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, with no 6 GHz support. Its wireless speeds reach up to 4,320 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. Features including 4096-QAM, channel widths of up to 160 MHz and OFDMA help improve data transmission efficiency on compatible devices. The router is also backward compatible with Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 5 and earlier Wi-Fi standards.
Multi-Link Operation (MLO) allows compatible devices to use multiple wireless links simultaneously. Depending on network conditions and device compatibility, this can help improve connection stability, bandwidth utilisation and response times.
Fast Wired Connections and Expandable Coverage
The RT-BE59 has one 2.5 Gbps WAN port for an internet connection, one 2.5 Gbps LAN port for compatible wired devices and three Gigabit LAN ports. ASUS AiMesh lets you combine the router with compatible ASUS routers to extend wireless coverage. The RT-BE59 can be configured as the main router or as an AiMesh node.
Smart Network Management and Security
Smart Home Master lets you set up dedicated networks for IoT devices, children’s devices and compatible VPN connections. ASUS AiProtection provides security tools that include security assessment and malicious website blocking. Additional features include WPA3-Personal, a firewall, URL filtering and DNS-over-TLS. Parental controls offer browsing schedules and content filtering through Safe Browsing.
VPN options include WireGuard and OpenVPN client and server support, an IPSec VPN server, VPN Fusion and Instant Guard for secure remote access with compatible devices.
Powerful Hardware and Convenient Control
A 2.0 GHz quad-core processor, 1 GB of RAM and 128 MB of flash memory support the router’s networking, security and management features. The five-antenna design combines four external antennas and one internal antenna. Manage the network through ASUSWRT or the ASUS Router app, check connected devices and use Traffic Analyzer to monitor network traffic. The router also includes automatic firmware updates, diagnostic tools and settings backup.
